Artist bio

Charlotte Evans is a Cornish artist based in Falmouth. With a deep desire to invite people into a creative world of connection she uses emotions and her surroundings to inspire bodies of work. With ever evolving themes her style focuses on marks and textures to evoke a sense of movement and feeling within her pieces.

With a Dad who was a Graphic Designer and Grandparents who were painters, art surrounded her from a young age. She completed a Foundation Degree in Fine Art and Design at Falmouth University and then went on to gain a BA Hons Degree in Printed Textiles and Surface Pattern Design at Leeds Arts University.

Her background in Fine Art and Printed Textiles influences her painting today, often focusing on the importance of colour, layering textures and exploring mixed material within her work.

After taking 2 years out to work in house for a design studio, Charlotte returns in 2026 to her painting practice with new ideas, plans and works in the making.
